Well this is my first post for the semester. My name is Katie and I am a Junior at WKU. My major is Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences. My plan for the future is to be a Substance Abuse counselor and/or marriage counselor; however I am considering a career in the field of counseling but with Hospice.
Today was my second day of classes and well I have to say that I am excited about this semester but a bit overwhelmed. I am starting to think that I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I am taking 18 hours and working two jobs so I think this semester will be the ultimate test of my endurance. With all the projects and writing assignments I don't know how it will all come together but we will see!

wow Catherine you are definetly booked! Your major sounds so interesting! you'll have to blog in more details about it as the semester rolls through. I also think it is really cool that you know what you'd like to do when you graduate! That is the toughest test for me..there are so many choices! I was able to pick a major but for such an undecisive person I picked a pretty broad major! I hope you can stay on top of things this semester1 Good luck!! :)
