October 18th

So I finally got a new computer! I am soo excited! I got it today and I can finally type and not have to worry about the key board not working!! But other than that I am kind of stressing out about this research paper. I went to the library last week and tried to find sources for my previous topic. To my dismay there was little to no available for it. Hopefully I will be allowed to change the topic otherwise I have no clue what I am going to do!!
I think this week I am not going to procrastinate and get all of my homework done early. Maybe that will make the week less stressful.

October 15

Well I've been sick this week with a stomach bug so I haven't made it to any classes. Now I feel like I am way behind in assignments just by missing a few days! I guess I will be making up all this homework this weekend while trying to catch up on season one and two of army wives :)

Its amazing how missing just two days of classes puts you way behind! Oh the joys of college!Its times like these when I wish I was back in high school. You could always get out of assignments!
Other than catching up on homework and trying to get a head start on this research paper nothing new here!

New Posting

I didn't even realize this week was fall break until my boss asked me to work on Thursday. I told them I had class and they said isn't it fall break though? I was like wel I guess it is! What a week it has been! I've been so busy with homework, work, and relationship problems that I can't even remember what day it is. None the less now my laptop is about to die on me. The keys are going out so sometimes when I hit them nothing happens and the neithe the battery charges or will it work on cord. I really don' t know what to do!

Other than that everything is going good. After narrowing my topic down for the research paper I am really excited to get working on it. I chose a topic that I am super excited to research so hopefully the writing process won't be as bad either!

Fifth Posting

Well this last week has been interesting. I went to Florida for the weekend to visit my mom and grandma ( it was her birthday). It was a good break from Bowling Gren but I was shocked when I got off the plane in shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops only to find that I was freezing! When I left Saturday it was raining and hot and I come back today and it is definitily fall!

School is going great so far with the exception of a few classes which are pretty dull but I guess that is why I am putting myself in debt with student loans only to find out that when I graduate Obama will have run our country ino the gorund and there will be no jobs or social security left and I'll be stuck at Domino's for the rest of my life.

But anyways, I'm still really enjoying my classes so far and hop that this major will end up working out for me!

Fourth Posting

Well to say the least the field trip last week was anything but extrodinary. I have never been so bored in my life. I would have rather of been in class than that. But at least it is over with and I won't have to go back there again! But on the other hand I did learn some things that were very interesting and upsetting. I went on this field trip for my Social Work class which is about services for older americans. At this field trip I learned about certain programs (or the lack there of) for older americans that help them out when they need it. Some of these programs included meals on wheels, medical serivces, and senior care services. The information I was presented with was infuriating. There are not enough programs to help the elderly and some of the ones that are available do not have restrictions on them. So it would allow a senior citizen with an income of lets say a million dollars be eligble for free food! In my opinion I think it is crazy because there are some elderly who do not even have running water and they need that program more than the others. After taking this class I am thinking of changing my concentration from substance abuse to gerentology. I wouldn't mind doing something like lobbying for the elderly people. But who knows I may not like the other classes.

Third Posting

This past week has been a non stop week. Between school and work I have been traveling all over. I went to my hometown Campbellsville, then to Lexington, and to Nashville last night. So needless to say waking up early for classes today was almost impossible. Other than that though the trip to Nashville last night was exciting, my boyfriend and i went to a concert down there and had an amazing time. It is hard to spend time together since we are in a long distance relationship so last night was fun. But now it is back to school and work ( oh and still trying to potty train my puppy Benji, which in itself feels like a full time job).

I am kind of anxious for tonight. My night class is taking a field trip which isn't very common in college. So it will be a good break from a tedious three hour classroom based class. Plus the place we are going to is relevant to my major so I am excited to learn more about it.

Second Posting

Well its the second week of classes and I am starting to get back into the routine for school. I rearranged my schedule and now I'm only taking 12 hours so that is a lot of pressure removed. So far my classes are going great. I really think I am going to enjoy my class that pertains to my major. It seems pretty interesting so far. On a personal note I got my first puppy this weekend and so not only I am having to deal with the stress from school but now I have a 2 month old Yorkie who is not potty trained!! It's a mess ( no pun intended). But other than that this school year is looking like it will be pretty good!
